The Vangelista family boasts its own artistic tradition dating back to the end of the 19th century. Guido, the founder of the family, who already showed a passion for art as a young boy, started out by making small wooden objects in a carpenter’s workshop. His skill, which was further perfected over time, resulted in him becoming an esteemed cabinet maker. Following in his footsteps and combining his father’s passion with his own very personal passion for music, Guido’s son Gianfranco began learning organ at the well-known “Pollini” music school in Padua. The Vangelista family soon took to heart the common denominator of the two passions : wood. This “living” substance is the raw material of furniture and many musical instruments. In order to enjoy the enchanting organ music played mainly in churches, Gianfranco had the idea of making the precious instrument at the family firm he himself founded. Hence the organ that is still in the Vangelista family’s residence. Gianfranco had the phonic part made by master organ-makers of Trentino Alto Adige. The success of this instrument stimulated his son Riccardo in the reproduction of furniture of important historic-artistic value.
